In the previous topic “Indoor Lighting Fixtures Classifications – Part One, I explain the Light fixtures Classification according to lamp type , according to installation method and according to the percentage of light output above and below the horizontal.

Today I will explain the last light fixtures classification according to the building type as follows.

Understanding the building type, its spaces, its visual task and its users will effect in the luminaires selection done by the lighting designer.

Different types of buildings and spaces have different lighting requirements depending on their premises and business activities.

The following Tables can be considered is a basic guide of luminaires selections for common buildings and Spaces.
